Solo Standoff Privacy Policy

Last updated: 22 October 2026

Solo Standoff ("the game") is made by Nesture-X ("we", "us"), through its gaming studio NX Gaming, based in Nairobi, Kenya. This policy explains what information the game collects, why, and the choices you have.

If you have any question about this policy, email us at privacy@nesturex.com.

1. The short version

  • You can play as a guest. We don't ask for your name, email or phone number to play.
  • We store your game progress on our servers so it isn't lost, and so scores and rankings are fair.
  • If you choose to back up with Google, we store your Google account's email address so you can restore your progress.
  • The game shows ads through Google AdMob, which may use your device's advertising ID.
  • We don't sell your personal information.
  • You can delete your account and data at any time from inside the game.

2. Information we collect

When you play as a guest

When you first open the game, we create an anonymous player account for you. It has a random player ID and isn't linked to your name, email or phone number.

Game data

To save your progress and keep the game fair, we store:

  • your progress (missions cleared, stars, coins, unlocked skins and avatars)
  • your player name (for example "Agent 8202") and avatar
  • the moves you made to clear a mission or a Daily Challenge, the number of taps, your time, and, on props tray puzzles, where you placed the props. We use these to check every score on our servers, so rankings can't be faked.
  • your Daily Challenge results and rank

When leaderboards and friends are available, we will also store:

  • the country and city you choose to show on leaderboards (optional)
  • your friend code and the friends you add

If you back up with Google

If you choose "Back up with Google", we receive your Google account's email address and a Google account identifier, plus the basic profile details Google shares at sign-in (such as your name). We use these only to let you sign in and restore your progress on another device. We never see your Google password.

Advertising

The game uses Google AdMob to show ads, including optional ads you can watch for extra hints or coins. AdMob may collect your device's advertising ID, your IP address, and information about your device and how you interact with ads. Where the law requires it (for example in the European Economic Area and the UK), the game asks for your consent before personalised ads are shown. You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in your phone's settings. Google's use of this information is described in Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

Information stored on your phone

Some information, such as your settings, your Daily Challenge streak and your saved progress, is also stored on your phone so the game works offline.

3. How we use your information

We use the information above to:

  • run the game and save your progress
  • let you restore your progress on a new phone
  • check that scores are real and keep rankings fair
  • show your rank in Daily Challenges and, later, on leaderboards
  • show anonymous statistics, such as "fewer taps than 59% of agents". These are calculated from all players together and don't identify anyone.
  • show ads, which keep the game free
  • fix problems and improve the game

4. Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with the services that run the game for us:

  • Supabase stores the game's data on servers in Frankfurt, Germany (EU).
  • Google provides Google sign-in (if you choose it) and AdMob ads.

Other players can see the player name, avatar, and (if you choose to show them) the country and city you set, next to your scores on leaderboards. We may also share information if the law requires it.

5. How long we keep it

  • Guest accounts with no activity for 90 days are deleted automatically, along with their data.
  • Daily Challenge data older than 30 days is deleted automatically. Your own streak stays on your phone.
  • Accounts backed up with Google are kept until you delete them.
  • When you delete your account, your data is removed from our servers straight away. Copies may remain in backups for up to 30 days before they are erased.

6. Your choices and rights

You can:

  • delete your account and data at any time: in the game, go to Settings > Delete account. You can also ask us by email (see https://nesturex.com/solo-standoff/delete-account).
  • change your player name and avatar in the game
  • turn off personalised ads in your phone's settings
  • ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing privacy@nesturex.com

Depending on where you live, including under Kenya's Data Protection Act 2019 and the EU's GDPR, you may have further rights. You may also complain to your local data protection authority (in Kenya, the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner).

7. Security

Your data is sent over encrypted connections. Our database is set up so that each player can only read and change their own data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

8. Children

Solo Standoff is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If the changes are significant, we will also let you know in the game.
